Tunnel For The Cause 2005

Tunnel For The Cause is a female freefly festival at SkyVenture Orlando, where freefly & hybrid formations and skills will be improved and donations will be collected for Jump For The Cause- the women's skydiving world record event which also raises money for breast cancer.

All skill levels, ages, experience, disciplines are welcome to attend. There are several ways to participate and donate your time and money. Objectives for TFTC include raising money for JFTC, while expanding the scope of female tunnel flyers, specifically in the area of freefly & hybrid skills.

Tunnel For The Cause Raised $4628 so far. We will be giving event dvd's for donations to help push us over the $5000 mark. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and skill to make this event a HUGE success. We had amazing coaches, amazing students, amazing SVO staff, amazing formations, and amazing female flying! 15min. coaching blocks are available for $225. This includes your time (with the price hike in October) & a $50 donation to JFTC instead of a coaching fee. ALL skill levels and disciplines welcome!

This event will not only benefit JFTC, it will also promote female participation in the sports of skydiving and bodyflight. The Pink Mafia Sisters and the Tunnel Pink Mafia will be represented by many of the participants. Through these two organizations, females will always have a friendly face at the dz or tunnel.

TFTC will incorporate varying skill levels of female flyers to improve everyone's freefly formation skills, hybrid & freefly tunnel experience, while having fun with other flyers and keeping safety in mind. Our goal is to make this an incredible event for all who donate their time and money.

15 slots are available for girls with basic freefly tunnel skills. All TFTC participants will receive a goodie bag filled with lots of great items from the manufactures and other sponsors, value aprox. $150.

Event flight times are 10-11am &12-1pm. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 9am. 8:45am is preferable.

**There are 5 participants making the costs $252 per girl for 2 hours of flight time.

Rita will be offering chair massages for $20 and donating half of the money to TFTC. There is no need to undress for these massages.

Jump For The Cause receives 100% of the profits generated from Tunnel For The Cause!

Each participant is required to raise at least $150. JFTC participants are not required to do any fundraising to participate in TFTC.

Here are just a few ways to raise money: raffle tickets are available for $5 each, lump sum donations, individual fundraisers, and SVO's donation to JFTC in each girls name. The SkyVenture Orlando donation for each girl will be subtracted from the $150 fundraising goal for each girl.

The Pink Mafia
A new and exciting organization started by female jumpers from Gold Coast Skydivers, on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Moss Point, MS. It was founded by a small band of freefly chicks (Brooke, Alli, Julie & Mel) that bonded with other female jumpers of all disciplines, to form an unstoppable support group amongst the male-dominated sport. In times of need, this group is behind each member to provide strength and support to further their skydiving career. The Pink Mafia wants to expand their support and start satellite groups nationwide.

Tunnel Pink Mafia
Following the tradition of the Pink Mafia Sisters, the Tunnel Pink Mafia (TPM) was founded in May 2005 with the intent to bond female tunnel flyers, promote flying in our communities, and express our passion for human flight.
